General Air Conditioning and Heating Operations
- Set the indicator on the thermostat to the temperature desired. Set the left switch on the right bottom to “cool” and the right lever to “fan auto.”
- Leave the thermostat at on setting except for unusual situations (cloudy days, entertaining, etc.)
- Lower the thermostat 2 – 4 degrees a few hours before you entertain a large group.
- Lower thermostat 1 – 2 degrees on a cloudy or humid day. Your air conditioner will act as a giant de-humidifier and wring excess water out of the air.
- Keep your windows closed and shaded.
- Keep obstacles away from the air supply outlets and return air grilles.
Your circuit breaker should be in the same position illustrated in the diagram. To do this, push the breaker all the way to off, wait a few seconds and push it all the way to on. If you air conditioner still doesn’t work, refer the problem to the maintenance department.
